Great Episode. I think Jen
Great Episode. I think Jen brought up some great points regarding 9/11 and such. With all due respect, it gives an opinion a lot more credence if you focus on facts as opposed to 'weird things'. Very good podcast again. Congrats to Jen and Neil. I couldn't wait for Jen's return ever since her first appearance and it met my high expectations. Very interesting and, as always, very funny. Thanks!
I listen to the podcast every
I listen to the podcast every week. I've been listening for well over a year and I have not missed an episode. You all are doing a great job. This episode was particularly good. I hate to say it "Jimbo" but I think Jen Kirkman really stole the show. Is show stealing a crime in L.A?. Also, keep up the Tuesdays with Moron segments. They are great. Any more word on the Marty Flipman shirts? Maybe you could sell them on this shiny new web site?
During your moron tuesday
During your moron tuesday segment or what ever it's called, you said that theres no clear reason for the war in aghganistan. Now I completely disagree with the war but the new reason for the war is that the taliban are controlling aghganistan and moving on to take over a destabalised pakistan. Pakistan of course has nuclear weapons. so since we can't go into pakistan because we dont want to upset our friends there we fight them in aghganistan.

I love this podcast, but kirkman is an idiot with her "obama is black, you got yours, fuck the gays" tribal bullshit. Being black I'm not a fan of dumbly explaining one persons motives just as some tribal desire to score more points than another minority. I wish Obama would dump don't ask don't tell and then make gay marriage a federal right tomorrow, but the fact that he's not doing it isn't because he's black. He's doing it because he's a politician. He's no more reluctant to act on this issue because he's black than Kennedy was reluctant to act on civil rights in the 60's because he was Irish-American. I don't like the shit either but it's funny when someone who calls herself liberal can't get in the way fast enough of bringing race into one person's motives. And yes, I am well aware of what happened in California during last year's gay marriage amendment, but black people weren't the only people voting the wrong way on that issue, and if you think that gays get equal rights by just removing the black guy from office than, kirkman, you're an even bigger fool politically then you sound.
Also, before we have a meltdown about health care let's see what happens. The bills are just now coming out of committee's. The public option is still in all but one of them. Obama isn't magic. I suppose he could cast a spell on Ben Nelson or put a gun to his fat face to make him go for a public option and get them 60 Senate votes, but that's probably unconstitutional.
If the Senate dems give him 60 votes there will be a public option. You think Obama doesn't want that? He's been pretty upfront about wanting aone each time he is asked and he's been asked every time he interviews, and he interviews ALOT, but everyone pushes the panic button when there is even the slightest hint of gamesmanship during this process. And there are some other parts of this bill, really positive things, that are guaranteed to be a part of final legislation. Stuff that members of my family would certainly benefit from. Meanwhile the public option is predicted to cover about 15% of the population. Those are estimates of even the more aggressive house versions of the plan.
Look, there's still about a dozen different ways this thing could move, including reconciliation. Even the pharma deal has been written out of some amendments currently in the Finance committee.
Having said all that, you guys are totally right about the fucked up handling of the bank regulation. Hopefully Frank and Chris Dodd will put their feet in some asses with this bill. Is this change we can believe in? Am I right? I just thought that up. Has anyone else thought of saying that?

First let me preface by saying what a huge fan I am of all of you, and I know your probably thinking, oh great another lengthy letter about be-bebe-bebe, but I hope you will read it. I'm really proud that Jimmy and Jen talked about what millions of Americans and people around the world are starting to find out. The official 9/11 story is a cover up. I hope the next show that you will talk about Charlie Sheen's 20 minutes with the president, military grade nano thermite found at ground zero, and Obama becoming the first US president to chair the UN security council. Comedians like yourselves are responsible for telling the truth with humor in times like these much like the jesters of the days of monarchies. They were called fools, but were the only ones who were allowed to tell the truth while the powerful laughed. I am happy that more and more people like you are coming out and saying what you know to be true.
You are in good company with people like Joe Rogan, Matt Bellamy from the band Muse, former Governor Jesse Ventura, Congressman Ron Paul, most of the 9/11 commission, and many others. There are a lot more of you out there I'm sure. Try to convince the people you know to come out and speak the truth about what Bush did, what Obama is doing, and what the people who really run the government are going to do if we allow them to have power over us. HR1207, the bill that would call to audit the Federal Reserve is being referred to the House Committee on Financial Services. It has 295 cosponsors. I will follow every one of them to see if they cosponsor the bill to actually audit the Fed. We'll see if this will be another HR 1258 and 333. When the actual bills to impeach Bush and Cheney came to the floor of congress, it had only 11 and 27 cosponsors respectively as opposed to the hundreds who cosponsored in the original bill,to look into possibly impeaching Bush and Cheney. We deserve the government we get if we expect these over paid lobbyist whores to work for us without keeping track of what's really going on.
Lastly, don't get any vaccinations for the flu since some vials have H1N1 in them. Please urge your listeners to not get the H1N1 shot. Tell them to visit www.infowars.com and www.knowthelies.com and get the truth out! It's not about left or right, it's about tyranny or freedom. Pussy.

HEY guys
I was just wondering where Todd performed at the Vancouver comedy festival? He was supposed to open for David Cross, wasn't he? We wanted to see him so badly!
Was he rejected at the airport like Andy Dick was (apparently Andy was leaving the airport as they grabbed and sent him on a flight to San Francisco... instead of back to LA... hah.)
please enquire.
love the show!

I found this report on Huffington Post. It summarizes the number of delayed-notice and extension search warrants filed under the Patriot Act in 2008. Surprise! very few were related to terrorism.

Jimmy you are the biggests hypocrite! Do you even know what side you're on? I listened to just an hour of this and you must of flipped sides on your beliefs at least five times. So Jen states she doesn't like Obama, so now you don't like him either?! WTF. At least i stick to my beliefs. You really need to go back and listen to your stand on the whole health care thing and then listen to this podcast. I can't wait to get my podcast up and running so i can call you out. And way to go selling out Carolla. Your pal The Polish Prince

Admittedly that comment sounded foolish but I also knew it would start debate. My reasoning behind that is Obama is a huge Lincoln fan for the way he conducted himself in office. Lincoln didn't see the Civil War as about abolishing slavery but about saving the union. Frederick Douglass convinced Lincoln that black soldiers should have the same rights as white. Lincoln listened and did just that.
The gays have appealed to Obama to no result. I'm disappointed. I'm not thinking that Obama LITERALLY thinks, "I'm black. Fuck you guys." I'm saying it looks that way historically. You would think someone who was part of a minority themselves would understand the plight of another minority.
I would have said the same thing about Hillary. She's a woman and she got hers and won't help the gays?
I apologize for not backing up my statement on air but again it's not a news program.
Jen Kirkman
p.s. I do not think removing Obama from office solves the gay problem. That was just you wanting me to be a bigger fool than I actually am.

Dear Tomas,
Due to the comedic and fast moving nature of the podcast I didn't have a chance to back up what I said. I do not believe all black people think the same. I do not believe that Obama is literally thinking, "I got mine fuck you." What I meant was if any president understands the plight of minority groups most - I was thinking it would be the president who is part of a minority who had to fight for their rights. It doesn't seem that way so far.
If Hillary won I would say the same thing. She's a woman and she's not sympathetic to gay rights?
I don't think removing Obama from office solves this problem. I didn't even say that.
Also - Obama idolizes Lincoln - hence riding in on the train to the inauguration. What Obama should do is what Lincoln did when he heard the concerns of Frederick Douglass who told Lincoln that the Civil War is not just about saving the union but we must treat the black soldiers with the same rights as we do the white. And Lincoln listened and made some war policy changes. Obama has not done the same for the gay community.
I know Obama isn't antigay and he could make a big impact in terms of shifting opinions in the black/Christian community and so far he has been silent. It's a huge disappointment to many people.
