Thank you. I copied it
Thank you. I copied it straight from the comedyandeverythingelse.com site - we will continue to strive to be better here.
Well said by Jimmy regarding
Well said by Jimmy regarding the whole 9/11 hoopla. I must confess I was one of the myriad people to email about it and frankly I apologize. Jimmy was in the right to be skeptical. It was probably just me but I didn't get that. When he explained his position it was clear that he had a better point than I, at least, gave him credit. Sorry, and great job this episode.
(Also, it's unrelated but, I was curious if you guys would look into posting more photos/video of episodes. Or even just 'show-notes' where you can link to some the video's Jimmy shows or articles, or links to any comedy clubs or shows mentioned. Just a suggestion.)
Thanks!
Thanks Lennart, I've been
Thanks Lennart,
I've been posting show dates to the Events page, but haven't always kept it up to date. I think the other items you requested are coming eventually. This is still the site being built, so all suggestions are very welcome!
I just wanted to say that
I just wanted to say that that was a really good joke Matthew said during Todd's comments about prisoners having cell phones. That the prisons are already overcrowded without all those Verizon people there... It was a great joke, just too bad that Todd was trying to preface a serious point.
hey me and my girlfriend just
hey me and my girlfriend just saw David cross in San Francisco and Todd's name was on the website and on the marquee. He was not there it was Nick Kroll who I am also a fan of and he was great. But i was sad not to see Todd. Anyway Todd tours with David please get him to come be a guest on the show. Also Todd and jimmy have to do a tour together.
One last thing I think the site is far superior to the old one and I think they should direct everyone to come to this site from now on to leave messages and such. I find myself checking both sites for comments as I commented many times on the old site. It just seems unnecessary to have bothe when this one workd so well already.
Thanks so much
Joe
Too much about comedians in
Too much about comedians in your show.
Try making fun of right wingers. No one else does that. You guys can then be original.

Love the podcast guys.
In the episode with Jim Gaffigan, Dore said he knew he was funnier than most of his peers in high school and could come up with funny comments in social situations but didn't really know how to turn that into stand-up comedy at first.
I feel like that describes me well and doing some stand-up is something I'd definitely like to try at some point. Can you guys talk about how you go about making that transition/writing material? The best I can imagine is writing down whenever I have a funny thought during the day so I don't forget and trying to maybe explore it more and turn it into something that resembles a refined joke.
If I just sit down and tell myself to write a funny joke I just draw blanks.

Glenn Beck has no beliefs. He's a brainless, vapid moron whose primary job is to attract viewers, listeners and people who view webpages. This is particularly evident in his monologue about hating 9/11 victims' families. 30-60 seconds in he confesses that it's only a few families he hates, but the sound bite that will attract all the attention has already been read. You played it on your show, and I am sure it's gotten thousands of views on YouTube and other sites. It's kind of like starting an essay by grabbing the audience's attention with a bold claim, only in this case he's catering to the lowest common denominator.
As far as New Orleans getting the bulk of the press after Katrina, it was not the storm itself but the breech of the levees that caused most of the damage.

Whoa am I excited to hear that Todd is coming to Tampa.
Todd, I know this may sound a little like the calling Mick Jagger to ask about the traffic thing, but I had a quick question. What night and time is typically the best show?
Man, I am really, really excited.
