I'm not even finished

I'm not even finished listening yet, but ... I love you guys. The Radio Play was ridiculous & delicious. But I about died when I heard Jimmy say, "How did that make you feel?" When I was in med school and my family tried to talk me out of whatever specialty interested me at the moment, I'd pull out my Psychiatry Voice, and it instantly shut them right up.

Mom: Ugh, Jen, don't do OB/Gyn. You'll have to be on call all the time.
Jen: And how does that make you feel, Mom?

Brother: You don't seriously want to do pediatrics, right? Kids are assholes.
me: Tell me more about that. How does the fact that kids are assholes make you feel?

    They'd rather I be a proctologist than a shrink.

    Hey Guys,

Love the podcast. Gary Gulman is awesome.

Todd, I have a question about a bit you've done: The bit where you talk about the magic bullet blender, do you say Marshmallow Fluff or Marshmallow Fuck? I have the Comedy Death Ray CD with that bit on it and trying to figure out what you're saying, I swear to God, it keeps me up at night.

My favorite thing about the podcast is when you and your guests talk about comedy and the comedy business. I was wondering, does it ever happen where one of your comedian friends asks you to do their bit because they think you'd do it better, or have you ever asked to do their bit?

Changing topics- you were talking about using the word "retarded" to describe someone. I think it has to do with the intent of the joke. If you're meaning to point out something stupid that someone does (or a person's stupidness in general), calling them retarded isn't right (even if retarded is a funny word), because they aren't actually retarded, they just did something stupid.
Mindy Kaling has a good bit about using the word retarded. Coincidentally, it's also on the Comedy Death Ray CD.

Oh my god. The part of the podcast where todd admits he wasn't paying attention to what jimmy's joke i punched my dining room table i was laughing so hard.
PS: the Captcha password i have to type in order to post this is actually "not pacifism", fucking weird.

44 minutes in: One of you should have said "I came out of my mother's swimmin' hole"

You can email me for after-the-show-joke ideas any time. I only charge 5 bucks a joke.

Hi guys. Love the show. I wanted to respond quickly to something Gary said about Howard Stern and his wishing cancer on Imus; I think that example speaks volumes to the arguement. Almost any talk radio DJ invents a persona, an exaggerated version of themselves. To me, Stern was doing this with that joke. Gary called it purile and said it was the base immaturity that tickled him so much--none of that has to do with Imus. The butt and the focus of the joke is the heightened, immature character of Howard Stern. This is an entirely different thing than Rush Limbaugh spitting ideological hate at a rival. That's a bummer and Stern is cool.

Hey guys.I just thought id comment on the guy Gary thought may have stole his joke.Just thought id mentioned he had made that joke before a few years ago on one of his stand up dvds and his shows he was doing at the time round 2003/2004.I think its just a coincidence, it fits in with his style of stand up he does.

Anyway love the show. Please get Todd to do more song analysis.

Hi guys. Glad I found this podcast, very funny and often interesting discussions.

About the use of the word retarded: Whats the difference of using the word retarded or mentally challenged?
If you use either to describe someone as an idiot doesnt it hurt the feelings of those who actually are mentally challenged/retarded regardless?

Todd, you said that mentally challenged people aren't the ones being hurt by using the term 'retarded'. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that there are lots of them that do understand when someone uses 'retarded' in a derogatory manner. Its not a black and white condition, there is a wide range of severity from mild to extra spicy.

I found this awesome thing on the internet that i know jimmy would love to talk about. you might have seen it already, it was the talk that glenn beck had on "the view" where we found out that he should go fuck himself with all that shit that comes out of his mouth( i talk like this now thanks to todd!) check it out and give me a little shout out on the next podcast. here is the link and i would also like you to check out some of the stuff Jesse Ventura has been going on about. i think he has some really great views on what has been going on with all the shit in our country.

Really enjoy the show. Two things on this episode, one I think hitting children is off the map wrong but the difference between hitting your wife and a child is one you're responsible for and one you're not. If your wife pushes a person into traffic and they die they're the one going to jail. It's their fault. If the kid does it then it's your fault. One you have to find a way to control and the other you don't. Hitting, though stupid is a way to control someone at least until they're big enough to hit back.

The Wanda Sykes thing reminded me of when Janeane Garofalo was on your show a couple of weeks ago and said that she'd be fine if half the population of the U.S. didn't wake up tomorrow. Sykes was making a more obvious joke, I'm going to assume Janeane was exaggerating but it really took the wind out of anything else she said (Janeane not Wanda). When you're that extreme and make everyone who you disagree with Satan McHitler it takes away from your valid points.

Does anyone know what email address we should send jingles for the podcast to? I want to enable a little more "playing radio" but I don't know where to send things.
