todd: i would argue that free range and cruelty-free meat is actually worse than factory farmed meat, as far as the treatment of animals is concerned. free range animals are able to get married and form relationships and establish themselves in animal society. then, when things are going great and they least expect it, their heads are cut off.
at least factory farmed animals know what they're in for. keep in mind i know this is all bullshit, i just like typing.

Why does the volume fade almost to nothing for the last ten minutes or so of the conversation part of the show? I had my speakers cranked up so high just to try to hear what was being said that when the "normal" volume came back (for the recap) it nearly woke up my neighbors
Loved the parts with Spade, his stories were refreshingly humble but still really funny. The rest of it, like most episodes, could have used a little editing. Sometimes less is more.

Hey guys- I love the podcast. I love it better when I can actually hear it. The whole last 30 minutes of this podcast is really hard to hear. I hate to complain, but really, would it be so hard to equalize some of this? Sometimes I jack the volume all the way up and can barely hear it and then something loud happens and it kills. Can you please just give it a quick look and boost the levels where it's low and bring it down a bit where it peaks? Much appreciated.

The Jersey Boys bit was great. As were Spade's stories.
I see a new episode was posted today. Sweet.

Thanks again to everybody that listens and comments, you are all very smart!
As for the sound, I am sure there is a perfectly good excuse why our sound is fucked again. Some shows give you quality sound, we give you quality excuses.

nate,
I love reading your posts, but could you try and make them even a little funny? seriously, it looks like you aren't even trying.
Have you ever considered using a dash of humor or wit when writing? or maybe just a clever turn of phrase?
it would help makes your posts entertaining for the reader. Just a thought.

Just an FYI: "Munchousen
Just an FYI: "Munchousen Syndrome" by itself or by Proxy was named after a famous liar, not the first person to be DX of Munchousen.
I love the show!
