Great episode with Gaffigan!

Great episode with Gaffigan! Todd's Joe Pesci story was hilarious.

I have a pretty good "foot in the mouth" story from when I was a kid. I was on a Little League team with another kid who had one really droopy eyelid. One day after a game, the whole team went to a pizza place and my family and this kid's family were sitting together in a booth. While we were there, my parents saw a friend of theirs and waved him over to our table. They all talked for a second, and then my parents' friend noticed the kid across the table from me and said to his parents, "You'd better get going. Your kid is halfway falling asleep." I don't think he was being a dick; I'm pretty sure he thought the kid was really falling asleep.

    As always, great show!

My foot-in-mouth story: My first job out of college was a broker trainee at a regional brokerage firm [really not to far up the ladder from a Boiler Room-type of operation.] One day I cold-called a guy trying to pitch my firm's investment services. He politely tried to get off the phone and mumbled what I thought was "I just married my wife." To which I replied: "Congratulations! Great! Now's the perfect time to diverisfy your portfolio and re-asses your investment goals with kids in mind, blah, blah, blah." He said: "NO, I SAID I JUST BURIED MY WIFE!." I quickly ended the call and wanted to slither under a rock.

I'm wondering if Jimmy tried that Vortex burger with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg that is served between two grilled cheese sandwiches instead of a bun. It's called a Double Bypass, or Why Not Just Chug an Old Peanut Butter Jar of Bacon Fat, or something like that.

    Great show as always.

There is a great Lenny Bruce CD boxset out called Let the Buyer Beware. It has six discs and spans his entire career. A lot of it holds up incredibly well and is definitely worth getting. And it's only forty bucks on Amazon.
It was mentioned during this episode, and I hear a lot of the time, he was not funny toward the end of his career when he would read court transcripts. I think when you listen to that period there is a lot of good stuff that comes of it.
I was shocked to hear that most on the show weren't too familiar with Lenny Bruce, because I always strongly associated the shows senibility and style with him.
Anyhow, I love the podcast and I thought this episode was one of the best. So thank you.
I miss the after the show show. Even the show after the after the show show.
