What about the Idiocracy factor as a reason for having kids?
If the smart, critical thinkers like you don't have kids, then all that left are the Bush/Cheney fans populating the world!
Love the show. Never stop please.

I can't believe you don't understand as a teacher that your job isn't to teach the kids your opinion.
You started off well be teaching them to critically think about their opinion on the election. Then even on a proposition.
However as soon as you start to teach from one perspective and not show the opposing side, you are stepping over your bounds as a public teacher (a public servant).
I am shocked you don't see the hypocrisy in your comments. You made a joke about the signs around your school that said to "think critically", and yet you don't wants your kids to think critically, you want them to think as you think.
Teach them how to support their opinions. Teach them to consider their opinions as potentially correct and potentially wrong. But don't teach them to think as you think. If you want to do that, then go work for a private school.
It is the parents right to teach their kids their own opinions, not yours. You teach them how to learn and think. Parents get to indoctrinate their kids, not the state. Then hopefully the children grow up think for themselves.

Hey MAtt,
thanks for your opinion, good thing you aint a teacher, cuz you wouldn't be allowed one.
I had a teacher in high school that said blacks should be allowed to vote. Just her opinion,-- funny how some opinions turn out to be accepted fact, isn't it?
